John Paczkowski (@johnpaczkowski) at All Things D (@allthingsd) posts the latest reports (via IDC) showing Samsung ahead of Apple in total 2012 "smart connected devices" sold. As Paczkowski points out, Samsung reports units shipped, Apple reports units actually sold. Regardless, the big winner is... smart connected people, with over 1 billion (with a B) devices sold in 2012.
